Petrol Prices

Why does everyone think that the federal government is to blame, or can do anything about petrol prices ? Sure, they tax petrol, just like they always have.
Sadly people, we are at the mercy of the world economy here, and the price of oil, be it through profiteering from unfortunate situations or other circumstance has gone up. The demand is high and the supply is low.
Anyone who thinks that a Labor government in the same situation would do any different is kidding themselves.
If you want to lower the price of petrol, just use less yourself. Walk, run, ride a bike, use public transport.
