Tasmania06Day 3 - 20th November 2006The day began early at 7am as everyone got up had breakfast and left the house by 7:55 as we had an 8:30 tour of the Cadbury Chocolate Factory. Despite dangerous, erratic driving, we arrived safely just on time. As it was, we waited for about 15 minutes for another group of tourist to arrive. We used this time to consume as many of the free samples as possible. The tour was very interesting, seeing many stages of the chocolate making process. Ironically we found out that because all chocolate produced at Cadbury's is shipped to Melbourne, chocolate is more expensive in Tasmania than Victoria due to the extra freight! Afterwards, we practically purchased our weight in chocolate at the gift store. (slight exageration... it wasn't ALL chocolate ;) ) Day 2 - 19th November 2006We all slept a little better last night, though Chris was kept awake by the hoons who were apparently trying to steal our car all night, and break into the apartment and take the kids (perhaps this was just wishful thinking... ?!). Poppy only snored at a dull roar, so that was a pleasant change. After breakfast and a brief stop at the shops, we set off primarily to see the Tahune Air Walk. We stopped for refreshments at Geeveston, where we ate a cafe were they wore period costume. The food was ok, but poppy's poor tummy didn't like the pastry. Very cool woodcarvings for seats which the boys liked as well. Day 1 - 18th November 200618th November 2006. We all awoke around 5am after hearing the dulcet tones of Poppy's snoring and lonely and amourous crickets all night. And after much fuss and flurry we had the car packed with the luggage and human cargo and headed off to Brisbane at about 5:50am. We left the cat at Priortiy Parking, took the courtesy bus to the airport and after waiting for the etoll transponder that we had forgotten we checked in with little event and waited for the plane. It should be mentioned at this point, that all of the above was achieved with Harrison and especiall Campbell's unbridled enthusiasm who sought every opportunity to get to the plane just a bit sooner.
